ABOUT
Matt Litton is a collaborative writer with three #1 WSJ Publishers Weekly bestselling projects, author of several of his own works, and a sought-after writing coach and editor. He has a passion for working with authors, agents, and editors to develop book concepts and craft content that has maximum market impact and catalyzes positive change in the world.
Matt brings a distinctive approach to collaboration, book-building, and coaching writers. Early in his publishing career, he learned the architecture of successful books firsthand by working in Publicity (press releases/media positioning), Marketing (titling/catalog copy), Packaging (crafting back cover/jacket copy) and Sales (selling direct to retailers). His background in curriculum development and educational psychology, as well as teaching Mass Media at the university level has afforded him a unique understanding of how to capture an audience and deliver content that moves the needle. Matt was named a Distinguished Educator of the Year in the state of Ohio in 2012 during his 8-year stint in education and his students held the highest writing scores in the state from 2010-2012. At this point in his publishing journey, he has developed 100+ books and collaborated on 25+. Matt has also authored his own books and understands firsthand the joys and challenges of the writing process and the power of storytelling.
Matt walks alongside authors through the entire writing process – from conceptual outlines to completion of the manuscript. His unique approaches to editorial development and writing collaboration are specifically tailored to each individual client’s strengths, communication style, personality, schedule, and mission. When Matt isn’t working with a client, he leads writing workshops focused on a number of topics including: creativity, the publishing process and how to build a great book.
